I am busy busy as per usual holidays from school mean all work and all play and totally wearing myself out but as people say some things never change and my schedule is one of them.
Its these days I spend what little free time I have googling pictures of freedom and listening to songs written by people I classify as ‘free’ and dreaming of being ‘free’ all while the clock is ticking and its getting later and i’ve got some place to be….
Christmas was more successful than anticipated! The food was a home economists dream and I got my driving lessons and a webcam so I can skype leanne in germany now!! :) a nice big bottle of my favourite perfume (Elle by YSL) and the usual appreciated bits like pjs, slippers, books and dvds.
Jacinta is taking her holidays so i’m working 6 days 8-5 in the office. It has only been two days and i’m already wrecked but good news is im allowed coffee in the office (as long as I dont spill it on the computer) and I get to do some cool stuff so its grand. Also I dont have to talk to the general public when i’m tired or hungover like yesterday.
St Stephens night-out exceeded expectations greatly. Leanne, Danielle and I went to a party in Hilary’s and reminisced on ‘good old days’ with people I have not talked to since school. Then we hit dempseys and the druid to see all the usual faces and the faces-you-only-see-on-such-occasions and some new faces too but all very exciting and high spirited. I got chinese on the way home and sat up chatting with Kaelin. She’s all grown up now its scary how fast time goes by.
It’s really scary actually. Even since I left college for home for the Christmas holiday’s time has gone so quickly.
Mountmellick does not change much. Still the same faces, same problems, same daily routines. It is an unusual but comforting stability coming back to it.
Now I am off to Leanne’s for a game of germonopoly and to spend a little more quality time with my friends here before we all set sail back to other lands….
